Career Pathways Learning Network

Facilitated by Corporation for a Skilled Workforce, the Career Pathways Learning Network helps local adult literacy programs tools and resources to help low-literate adults through bridge programs or career navigation services.

Learning Cohort Purpose:

Incorporate employment/career focus into adult literacy programs, including career exploration, adult education contextualized to specific industry/occupations, and integrated education and training.

Develop a plan and a proposal for partnerships for bridge or pre-bridge programs.

Strengthen their roles in adult education and training pipelines to public workforce programs, other community-based workforce programs, and community colleges.

Enhance their ability to deliver workforce outcomes.

Pathways to Work

Led by United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Pathways to Work is a cross-sector collaboration of funders, employers and training providers working to create innovative solutions for moving entry-level workers into good middle skill jobs and ensure employers have a pipeline of skilled and ready-to-work employees. Job training and placement are key components of United Way’s community goal to move 250,000 people out of poverty permanently.
